I apologize for the delay in updates. In a way we have just kind of gone in a cocoon stage and it's been nice.
Todd is doing so well. The doctor at Banner and Mayo prepared us for something that we haven't really experienced, which we are so grateful for. Todd has come home and laid low and listened to his body but has also been active with the kids, projects around the house etc. His biggest complaint seems to be fatigue, which is normal. They said it could be a year before he feels completely normal again. He feels a little "blah" but I think with temperatures over 100 and not getting out of the house much, that is to be expected, let alone the big transplant. We have been able to get out and do a few things. A day at the lake was his favorite. Unfortunately, he can not get in any standing water. No lakes, pools, jacuzzi etc. But, he enjoyed watching the kids and being out in the sun. We were grateful for the invite to get out and enjoy nature!
He has worked a few hours every so often remotely and then went back to the office a couple of hours a day and now seems to be back at it full time. I reminded him the doctor said AT LEAST 3-6 months but he told me that was just a recommendation. ;)
He heads back to Mayo at the end of this month for a PET Scan and another Biopsy. He won't have results back for awhile. We are both getting anxious to get those done and see the results.
We are so grateful for so much. Todd truly has been a walking miracle and we hope it continues to be that way. Thank you for the prayers and love.
