Starting a new med!!!

The doctors did end up starting Nick on Arithromycin yesterday!  He has noe had 5 doses.  He was so sleep and out of it this morning, they held his dose this morning.  They have to be very cautious with this drug because it can make him have respiratory suppression.  His respirations since he was started on that med and the methadone have mostly been 6 to 8.  They would love them to be at least 10 or so.  If his respiratory issues get to low, then they will just take him off of the methadone altogether and put him back on a lower dose of the Bupenorphine patch.  We are praying that the Arithromycin works with his gut motility and he won't need the pain meds!
If that medicine don't work, then that means that this is all neurological.  This happens to a lot of neurological patients.  It's just something that can happen with a brain injury.  If this is the case, they'll have to work with and adjust his meds.  As of 12:45 PM, there are no signs of a seizure!  Praise the Lord!  He has been more awake today and he hasn't needed any extra meds.  If he wakes up and makes noises, he will normally settle down himself and go back to sleep.  He got those leads and the glue out of his head this evening.  His nurses gave him a good bath and got all of the glue out of his hair.  Please continue to pray thst Nick has a good night and continues to not be in pain!  Thanks for all of the prayers!
