PLEASE SHARE πŸ™πŸ» Update 9/2 Wednesday

Friends and family,

We wanted to give a quick update on Mom’s journey.

She has now completed several of the infusions prescribed after her recent bronchoscopy showed mild acute rejection of her donor lungs. She has one more infusion scheduled for Friday. We are asking for prayers that the side effects ease up. The nausea has been difficult, and she has also been experiencing vision changes that have made these treatments challenging.

At this point, we won’t know whether the rejection has resolved until her next bronchoscopy at the end of the month. That procedure should give the transplant team a much clearer picture of how her lungs are responding to the treatments. We are trusting God and taking things one day at a time.

We also had another unexpected hurdle arise. My dad’s van stopped working in Nashville, and after having it towed to a shop, they were told repairs would cost over $2,000. We are currently working on a way to get another vehicle down to them. Thankfully, the hospital provides transportation for Mom’s appointments. It seems every time we get through one challenge, another appears, but we know God is still faithful through it all.

Please continue praying for:

❀️ Complete healing and healthy donor lungs
❀️ Relief from the infusion side effects
❀️ Favor and wisdom for the transplant team
❀️ Strength and encouragement for Mom and Dad
