Happy easter! He is risen.
We got Mack back to church for the first time since October I think? We had to sit in the lobby due to noise but it was so good to see everyone and have Mack back under this roof! Syringe feeds and all. This is us doing it anyway.
Mack’s oxygen requirement has gone down from 1/2 lpm to 1/4 lpm overnight and most of the morning. After the stress from noise at church he is back up to 1/2 lpm but this is still so good to see! We are positive this is due to the consistent red light therapy being done at home and the blessing of God allowing this to work for his body.
I can’t wait to see what HBOT does for his brain and body. While we wait for a consultation with Dr. Harch I want to start educating and sharing information about why we are seeking HBOT for Mack, and how much it costs to do it. Here is a link to a video about HBOT at Dr. Harch's clinic. I think you will agree, Mack definitely needs to go see him!! He is located in New Orleans. We would be driving down.

We have to raise around $25,000
(on top of the $11,000 already logged here, which was utilized at his functional neurology intensive in February)
The treatment alone is $13,000 and for continued care at home, we will need to buy our own chamber for home which will cost $10,000.
We have most of the funds for the stay and the travel but it would deplete what is left from our first round of fundraising leaving nothing left to help cover Mack's CBD and supplements every month which is more than our car payment.
My fear now, after we have completed functional neurology intensive is that we will be unable to raise enough money for other therapies. I feel so undeserving myself of the generosity we have witnessed with raising that money so fast for his first alternative therapy trip. However this is not for me this is for Mack! And if I want to be the best advocate I can be, I need to be willing to be vulnerable and share what our needs are. It is not possible for Blake and I to fund these therapies alone with out jeopardizing our financial and physical health significantly which would also jeopardize Mack's quality of life.
Adding HBOT to Mack's long term therapy routine is going to be amazing for his prognosis and quality of life according to Dr. Harch's opinion. I will share how the consultation goes when that happens!
