Lindsay Joy Elkins Taylor
I finally started radiation today. While it was technically "easy", I have to go every day for the next 6 weeks straight and know it will only get harder as the burn and exhaustion set in. I also started physical therapy for lymphedema prevention yesterday (because I had so many lymph nodes removed).
While I'm deeply grateful to be getting the care I need, I still can't seem to believe I'm even in this position (plus all the additional and unnecessary stress I've had to face along the way). As someone who's always appreciated my good physical health, it's disorienting to have so many things I suddenly need to be cautious about now (and the chemo brain is also in full force these days).
All that to say, your prayers, encouragement, and continued support means so much to us as we navigate this ongoing cancer journey. Thank you for keeping us in your thoughts even when things are quiet on our end. I also opened the Meal Train again if you want to sign up: https://www.mealtrain.com/trains/r28vkw
Love,
Lindsay and Brandon
