We are driving home from our Nieces Birthday Party in Wisconsin and I have a few minutes to give an Emmy update!
She is doing really good in her current phase (Interim maintenance 1). This phase is 60 days long and should end mid-Sept. Every 10 days Emmy goes to the clinic for labs and chemo. If her labs are good, they increase the chemo dose she is getting. So far, we are dealing with some fatigue after the clinic day, tummy pain, decrease appetite, and foot pain.
Emmy is scheduled for her next chemo on Monday the 5th. On the 8th and 9th is her schools “Get to know you days” and I’m nervously holding my breath hoping she will feel well enough to go!
Her first day of K is Aug 19th and I sooo want her to be able to experience that, too🤞🏻🤞🏻
We continue to have multiple appointments a week for follow ups and therapies.
Emmy recently got taken off her blood pressure medicine-YAY!
She is now seeing a neurologist at Luries who had us do an EEG to look for seizure activity. We are still waiting for those results.
Emmy also just found out she needs glasses! She is going to be so stinking cute in them! But geez- my poor baby just has so many things to adjust to!
This fall/winter will have more “intense” phases, but for now, we will enjoy what’s left of summer while Emmy is feeling well!
