I feel like I have been trying to make an update for weeks! But time escapes me and someone always needs me mid- anything.
I cannot believe it’s July!
So far this month, Emmy has done overall really well. Labs have stayed stable. She had 1 over night admission on July 3rd for a brain MRI to rule out brain swelling since Emmy had been having headaches and irritability. The MRI was negative 🙌
Once we got home, Emmy had a terrible time sleeping. When I say we were up allll night- I seriously mean it. They added a new medication at bedtime and the last 2 night we finally got some sleep.
This past Monday we were scheduled for her last spinal dose of chemo for this phase. However, they decided to hold it to give Emmy a little break and not worsen any of her symptoms. We will add that dose in during the next cycle, which is interim maintenance 1 and it’s starts next Monday.
We continue to adjust to our new life. Nate and I are taking turns going to work and staying home with Emmy, and Brooklyn is continuing to go to day care to not disrupt her normal routine. I may have said this before, but somehow 2 kids now feels like 10.
We hope to continue to support both the girls the best we can, with the help of many resources, through all of this nightmare!
Thank you all for continuing to be here with us ❤️
