Hi all,
Thought it was about time to provide an update.
Emmy is doing great! She was able to Enjoy some normal summer activities, start kindergarten, and complete another phase of chemo.
This girl continues to amaze me- she has attended 3 weeks of kinder, only missing once due to a doctors appt, she enjoyed Door County to the fullest(which our oncology team approved and was Emmys biggest ask this summer), and has been able to keep up with her sister and mostly a normal routine at home.

She is also joining us in Movin’ Miles For Emmy, to help spread awareness for childhood cancer, by legit RUNNING!  Not a whole mile, but still, 2 months ago she couldn't even walk independently!

What’s next?

Delayed Intensification(DI)- this is the intense phase I have been dreading, people compare it to induction, which was what kept us in the hospital in the beginning for those 55 days.
This phase includes lumbar punctures, oral chemo meds and steroids, chemo through her port, and potentially even home health visits for medication via IV push(quick push of meds through her port).
DI starts this week, we will visit the clinic on Monday and Thursday for a LP and chemo through her port. We will then visit weekly on Mondays.

On a more positive note, Emmy starts dance on Wednesday, she absolutely loves to dance and we are happy to have her start and continue as long as it remains safe!

We appreciate the continued prayers and support during these next 60 days!
❤️
