We wanted to share a quick update with everyone who has been following along on Keegan’s journey and supporting us.

As we were nearing and even exceeding our original goal, Keegan had a follow-up appointment with his neurologist. At that visit, we learned that his epilepsy has unfortunately worsened. Because of this, he was referred to an epileptologist and a specialized neurology team for further evaluation.

Keegan has already completed a MEG (magnetic EEG) and still has a few additional scans and tests ahead. The goal of this testing is to better pinpoint where his seizures are coming from so the team can determine the best next steps, which may include targeted treatment or possible brain surgery.
Based on these findings, the epileptologist and neurology team recommended that we pause and adjust our original timeline for his intensive. Their hope is that Keegan can achieve some level of seizure relief or ideally seizure freedom before attending, so he can get the absolute most out of those three weeks.

While our original goal was March, we are now hopefully looking toward June. This gives us time to complete testing, follow medical recommendations, and set Keegan up for the best possible outcome when he does attend.
