Keegans Journey Forward
Hi everyone!
I know its been a minute since I've given a good Keegan update! He is finally over a few sicknesses that landed him in the hospital. We were moving along well until he had a seizure that caused a fracture in his leg. Now he is a cool guy in a green cast. Any suggestions for what we should paint on it? Big brother wants Hulk fighting the Ninja Turtles! I’m not 100% on my art skills for that one. 😄
He is due to have surgery on his hips on May 6th now (after rescheduling twice now!) This surgery will keep him from dislocation. His doctor is very adamant on him having it as soon as possible and is a big fan of him completing his intensive once he is healed.
That being said! We had a quick meeting with Dana at All Kids Are Perfect to find her recommendations on length of visit, which therapies to include, and any additional information she needs from us. We are so excited to work with her and her team and are looking at early June or mid July! Once we have dates finalized, I will be so excited to share with everyone who contributed to make this dream a reality.
And finally a brain update:
We are still pending all of the discussions and decisions regarding his brain surgery options. His Neurologist has encouraged us to still attend the intensive this summer as decisions will cause more delays. I am so thankful for that greenlight! And hopefully whichever surgery option occurs we can make plans to visit AKAP a second time to strengthen his brain. :)
