Today is Purple Day - an epilepsy awareness day. We all wore purple, but I do believe Jordan wore it best! :) There is so much that could be said about epilepsy it is sometimes hard to know where to start or what to share. I will say, that if I had a magic wand and could change anything for Jordan (and for so many others), it would be to cure epilepsy. It is a disorder that impacts so many people in different ways.  It is unpredictable, complex, disruptive, and it takes Jordan away from us. Our biggest concerns have always been safety, and epilepsy can be life threatening. I am always happy to talk more about her experience with those interested, but for now, I am happy to be able to share that for the last few months, Jordan's epilepsy has been well managed - and that is a tremendous gift we don't take for granted.
