Happy Spring!

 

Hi Everyone, 

I hope this finds you all well. We hope those who celebrated had a very Happy Holi, Passover, and Easter. We celebrate Easter and this year; I followed Jordan’s lead and created a new transition. Rather than buying new things, I went around the house and grabbed bunnies, chicks, egg maracas, and easter books to fill their baskets. For Jordan, I grabbed every bunny, chick, and lamb stuff animal we have and put them in her room. The kids loved their baskets and Jordan's joy was quite evident. It is fun to get new things, but Jordan’s joy comes more from time and attention from those who love her, from positive energy, snuggles, songs, silliness, getting tickled, and being around friends and family. These are the things that excite her most. So, for years to come, rather than getting her new things, I plan to gather all the things we already have and put them at her feet. We plan to do the same for Jonathan for a few years until he is old enough to wonder why the Easter Bunny only gives him stuff, he already has. 😊
