Jett went to the neurologist and Physical Medicine and Rehab doctor at the Novak Center in Louisville. They were so excited at Jett's recent physical accomplishments. They even put a mat in the hallway to watch him sit and crawl. We will continue to see them every six months. We have been working on conversations where he points to words and pictures on his iPad. He was able to use this to update them on how he has been doing. There are no new plans, as of now. His neurologist has been reading a new study on a medication to help with abnormal movements that are GNAO1 specific. There was also discussion of a Deep Brain Stimulator that would be implanted in Jett's brain and help control movements as they continue to get worse. We are holding off on any medications or brain surgery in the near future. We are just celebrating his progress for now.
