Joy #1: Jessica’s sister Joy came to sit with her during chemo today 😊. I think that made her heart happy. Not that I’m a bore… but a new face and some sister time is always a welcome change of pace 🤗

Joy #2: The “happy heart” kind.
Stress and anxiety can feed and enable sickness and disease. The opposite is also true: happiness, contentment, and joy help put the body in a position to fight back. That’s been our focus these past few months - and will continue to be.

Joy #3: The celebratory kind.
We’re still so thrilled with how Jessica’s body is handling the chemo treatments. Still no major side effects.

And… we got her mistletoe today! 🙌🏼
This is the complementary treatment we’ve been hoping and waiting for.

Never heard of it? Give it a Goog! It’s a standard cancer treatment in many countries around the world. Unfortunately, the U.S. can be a tough nut to crack when it comes to anything outside the established standard of care.

We’re so thankful for those who have supported us financially. It’s helping us access treatments like this that we wouldn’t otherwise be able to pursue.

Okay, the hair leaving was less than fun… but she’s handling that well too. She’s rocking the new look like a boss! 😍

All of this gives us joy when we could be giving in to the opposite. Not today, fear and worry. God’s got this!

Oh! Worth mentioning: today’s socks are compliments of an awesome coworker. Thanks, Mya! (I work with the BEST crew ever!)
