Jade had treatment yesterday. We started the Rylaze injections. Yesterday was the first day she has been to clinic without me. She did great with my mom and Wade. Today, I am finally feeling better. It took 6 days of fever, but I'm finally fever free today! Jade is back home. My parents took great care of her and she came home with a new series she's very interested in...The Waltons. lol. As the year wraps up there is so much to be thankful for even though this has been the toughest year for our family... and not just our immediate family, but grandparents, aunts, uncles, etc. When a child....especially your child gets diagnosed with cancer... it is life altering... to watch the treatment stains you.... to watch a beautiful, perfect, healthy, thriving little girl get so sick and have to be supported through chemo with blood and platelet transfusions for months is HARD. I know I could not make it though this without God... I am completely broken and my heart physically took a hit when Jade got sick. When I brought her to the hospital I was completely healthy, but after the stress and the literal heartbreak of everything happening, my heart was injured and would beat at 140+ for absolutely no reason. After a visit with the cardiologist I was put on a beta blocker. It's helped control the inappropriate tachycardia, but it just shows you how much emotional trauma can effect you physically. Our lives have forever been changed though Jade's diagnosis and her recovery. I ask you all that follow her story to continue to pray for her. Your prayers and your children's prayers are so important.
Tomorrow, because it is a holiday and the clinic is closed, Jade will have to be admitted in order to get her chemo. We honestly don't mind these short stays because we get to see all the nurses that work on unit 42 that have been with Jade since the beginning of this journey. The first month when we were inpatient, they didn't get to see the happy and excited Jade they will get to see tomorrow! I'm so thankful we will start 2025 with Jade in remission. I ask you all to continue to pray for her leukemia to stay in remission for the rest of her life and that she continues to have a positive attitude about treatments. It can be very defeating with the amount of times we are in and out of the hospital and a positive attitude goes a long way. This week we will be there 4 times.
Happy New Year!

Also, my sister had the most beautiful baby boy on 12/29/24!! I would share a photo, but Jess is just a private person in general and doesn't have social media! But he's perfect and I can't wait to hold him!
