We had a really wonderful Christmas. Jade was able to see some of her best friends in the days leading up to Christmas morning. The kids woke up and opened gifts and played with gifts the rest of the day. All of their grandparents made it by to watch the excitement of Christmas morning. Unfortunately, I got a fever by the end of the night and felt pretty miserable. When someone gets a fever  in our house we try to take extra precautions for Jade. She went over to my parent's house yesterday until I'm fever free. Today she was scheduled to start her Rylaze injections, but I called to see if we can wait until Monday because Jade has not let anyone except me bring her for chemo. I didn't feel comfortable being around her or any of the other immunocompromised kiddos in clinic. Obviously we try to let her have some say in all of this, since so much is out of her control. She's like her momma. She has a routine that brings her comfort. She doesn't like change. We were given approval to start the Rylaze on Monday. Once they give the first dose there are no exceptions and it's given every 48hrs for 2 weeks. 
I hate to be away from her, like I miss her so much when she stays the night away. She's having a wonderful time at my parents. She is so excited for her new baby cousin to get here. My sister is due at the beginning of the year with her first baby! Jade has sewed so many blankets, pillows, blocks, etc. for this baby! Jade has a ton of cousins, but they are all older than her. She loves each of them very much, but she is excited to be a big cousin and having a new baby around will bring so much joy to us all!
