Today was Day 1 of maintenance chemo!!

Jade made counts to start. It’s feels almost unreal that we are finally here… that things can start looking more normal for her….She started the day at 7:30, we made it to clinic around 9. She got accessed and then went down stairs to get put to sleep for her lumbar puncture. I let her sleep as long as I could, but we still had to go back upstairs to get IV vincristine. After that we picked up her chemo from the pharmacy and finally got her something to eat at 4:30 (she’s not allowed to eat before she gets put to sleep). We made it back to Live Oak just in time for Sawyer’s soccer game! Jade cheered ( or yelled😅) for the players and now we are getting ready for bed! The last time she took steroids for a while she would wake up crying for food in the middle of the night so hopefully we can keep her full 🙃. We got back tomorrow to start the final round of the Rylaze shots! Only 8 left!
If you’ve been following, I wanted to update about her liver enzymes. Her AST is within normal range now.🙌🏼.  Her ALT is still pretty elevated, but much lower than it was. Normal is 0-35 and she is 115. Overall much better.
