Emmett’s Journey
Emmett has completed his second week of KAMP at Kinactive Kids. When he started this camp he did not push through his arms to hold himself up at all. This week Emmett has started to hold himself up through his arms!! Emmett has also started to roll from belly to back on his own, and started pinching with his LEFT HAND!! Emmett’s left side is weaker due to his brain injury from the encephalitis, so pushing through that side and pinching his huge for him. Emmett’s ATNR primitive reflex has not integrated, which is making it hard for him to turn his head and push through his arms. He has one more week at KAMP and we are excited to see what he accomplishes.
Emmett is going to continue to need this intensives in order to meet his milestones. Thank you all for continuing to support him and share his story.
