We’re still inpatient after 10 days waiting for Cody’s leak to stop. The medical team has tried NG feedings, TPN, and now we’re on Octreotide. We can start his next round of chemo as soon as his output is below 20 mL, but unfortunately, we haven’t been anywhere near that yet. 

We do have a plan to go to IR for a procedure, which will be 8 hours long, to locate and stop the leak, but that won’t happen until Wednesday this coming week. That means Cody will have been in the hospital for 2 weeks. Please pray that his leak calms down over the weekend so we can get to his 5th and final round of induction chemo and BRING HIM HOME. 

The boys haven’t been under the same roof since October 4, and they haven’t been able to play together since before Cody’s surgery on September 30. Despite this long hospital stay, we are incredibly thankful that he is still healthy. He cannot eat anything but applesauce and water, and hasn’t had a full meal since October 8, but he keeps the best attitude through it all. 

With that said, we will be posting for more meals and DoorDash gift cards, because realistically, we don’t see a plan to be home any sooner than late next week.
