Cody's Comeback
We’re in another holding phase for now. Interventional Radiology is scheduled to perform a procedure for Cody on Wednesday, and it’s expected to take about 6–8 hours. The goal is to find the leak(s) in his lymph vessels and seal them.
If all goes well, we’re hoping to be home Thursday or early Friday, just in time for a short reset before his next round of chemo, hopefully mid next week.
In the grand scheme of things, Cody is doing wonderful. He’s happy, smiling, and strong, which is incredible given all he’s been through. We are so thankful for any time we get to spend at home together. He’ll still have his drain in, we’ll continue nightly fluids, and he’ll be on a very strict diet.
We’re PRAYING this IR procedure works so we can move forward with chemo. If it doesn’t, the next step would be another surgery to open him back up, something we are deeply hoping to avoid. These delays have definitely tested my heart and patience, but we continue to trust in God’s plan and timing.
Thank you all for your continued prayers, love, and support. These past two weeks have been full of unexpected turns and disappointments, but truly, in the big picture, it could be so much worse. We are holding on to gratitude and faith.
