Cody's Comeback
We are absolutely FLOORED. Truly in awe.
For those who aren’t familiar with Curie scoring (how they measure how much cancer is showing on an MIBG scan in Cody's body), Cody started this journey with a score of 26 out of 30...meaning cancer was showing in almost every part of his little body.
Here’s what his FIRST scan looked like:
- Head: 3/3
- Spine: 3/3
- Chest: 3/3
- Lumbar spine: 3/3
- Pelvis: 3/3
- Arms/legs: multiple 2’s and 3’s
- Soft tissues: 3/3
Total: 26.
That was the reality we walked into this fight with.
And today… today GOD MOVED.
His NEW results:
- ALL stations: 0
- Except one small area (mediastinal lymph nodes): 2
NEW TOTAL: 2.
Meaning:
Every bone metastasis is GONE.
No visible liver tumor.
Only two tiny lymph nodes still lighting up.
Every bone metastasis is GONE.
No visible liver tumor.
Only two tiny lymph nodes still lighting up.
This is what the radiologist wrote:
“Significant partial treatment response… bone metastases completely resolved.”
“Significant partial treatment response… bone metastases completely resolved.”
We are speechless. We are shaking. We are crying.
This is a MIRACLE.
This is a MIRACLE.
Cody is nearly disease free.
And I need you to hear this as loudly as I felt it in my spirit today:
God heard every cry.
Every fear-filled prayer.
Every whispered “please.”
Every sleepless night.
Every trembling moment in the dark.
Every fear-filled prayer.
Every whispered “please.”
Every sleepless night.
Every trembling moment in the dark.
He knew exactly what my mama heart needed today.
He knew my anxiety going into this scan.
He knew what would sustain us for the road ahead.
And He delivered news better than anything we could have imagined.
He knew my anxiety going into this scan.

And He delivered news better than anything we could have imagined.
WHY STEM CELL IS STILL NEEDED
Even though the cancer is almost completely gone, stem cell transplant is what helps KEEP it gone.
It wipes out any microscopic cells that can’t be seen on scans.
It dramatically lowers the chance of relapse.
It is still a critical step...but now we go into it with HOPE, not fear.

We are so, so thankful.
Thank you for praying.
Thank you for covering us.
Thank you for carrying us.
Thank you for loving us.
Thank you for covering us.
Thank you for carrying us.
Thank you for loving us.
Please continue to pray as we prepare for stem cell. But today?
Today we get to breathe.
Today we get to celebrate.
Today we get to enjoy Christmas with a peace I haven't felt in months.

God is here. God is faithful. God is close.
