As many of you know, Cody completed the intensive part of treatment for neuroblastoma, and we are so grateful to have reached this milestone. But our journey isn't over yet.

This Friday, Cody begins the next phase of treatment called post-consolidation therapy, which will continue for the next 5 months.  In simple terms, this treatment is designed to find and destroy any microscopic cancer cells that may still be hiding in his body, cells that scans can't see but could potentially grow back later. The goal is to give Cody the best chance possible at long term remission.

His treatment will include:

Dinutuximab (Immunotherapy): Think of this as teaching Cody's immune system to become a better cancer fighter. It helps his body's natural defenses recognize and attack any remaining neuroblastoma cells.

Growth Factor Injections: These are shots that help boost and strengthen the immune system so it can do its job more effectively.

Oral Retinoin (Vitamin A-based medication): This medicine helps prevent any leftover neuroblastoma cells from growing and multiplying.

For the next five months, we will be admitted to the hospital Friday through Tuesday for each treatment cycle.

One of the biggest side effects of Dinutuximab is significant nerve pain. Many describe it as feeling like the nerves throughout the body are being irritated or inflamed. While the medical team has excellent medications to help manage pain, this is the side effect we are most concerned about and would appreciate specific prayer for.

Please pray for:
• Minimal pain and discomfort during treatment
• Protection from infections and complications
• Strength and endurance for Cody's little body
• Wisdom for his medical team
• Peace, rest, and resilience for our entire family
• Complete healing and lasting remission

Several of you have asked how you can help. As we spend those stretches in the hospital, DoorDash gift cards and meal support have been added and are deeply appreciated. As you know, hospital food is super unhealthy and frankly, Cody refuses to eat it. These gifts help take one thing off our plate during treatment weeks and allow us to focus fully on Cody.

Most importantly, thank you for your prayers. We have felt the love, support, and encouragement of our village every step of this journey.

"But I will restore you to health and heal your wounds,' declares the Lord." — Jeremiah 30:17

Thank you for continuing to stand with us, pray for us, and believe with us for complete healing for our sweet boy.
