Today I saw the breast surgeon and I am cautiously optimistic. They got all the cancer out during the surgery. It did NOT spread to my lymph nodes.
They won’t know for 2-3 more weeks about chemo but it’s sounding like I may not need it but that’s not 100% which is what I am really, really, really hoping for as an outcome so I can continue to move forward.
I cannot thank everyone enough who has been there to support me on this journey and while I would never wish this on another woman, I do plan to give back should someone else have the misfortune to get this diagnosis and need support and someone to listen who gets it. Having women come forward who went through this themselves has been invaluable to me and gave me hope.
