Hello family and friends!! I have not updated in awhile so thought I would send a note. I made it through last round of chemo and had a similar course afterwards. Thankfully by midweek after the treatments I felt better and am so grateful to have a few weeks off therapy. I worked last week and work 2 days this week. I am so grateful to be able to work and see patients and their sweet families. Everyone has been so supportive and kind. I am so touched by the outpouring of love we have received.
I saw Endocrinology last week as my PET scan showed thyroid nodules. These were confirmed by an ultrasound. These are pretty common in the general population but because of my cancer I will have a biopsy soon to determine if they are benign or malignant. If they are malignant it is likely unrelated to my sinonasal cancer. Praying these are benign!
I have a followup MRI this Tuesday and then appointments with my oncologist and radiation oncologist Thursday. If the cancer lesion in my nose and sinuses is improving I will continue chemotherapy (next round starts 1/27/26) and start radiation in Feb. If the cancer is not improving and larger I might need surgery. Big prayers that everything is improving! I am hopeful as I can breathe normally through my nose now which is encouraging.
Otherwise we are doing well. Boys are almost done with first semester of school and have been busy with baseball workouts, basketball, and hanging out with friends. They have been so sweet and strong throughout this whole journey for which I am grateful. I will keep you all posted once we get results and a definite plan this week. Thank you so much for all the support, love, prayers, meals, cards, giftcards, kind words, and texts. We will forever be grateful!
