I am overwhelmed and humbled by the amount of love and prayers and sweet comments I have received. God is so good and listens to our prayers- I so appreciate yours! I have been improving each day and my white blood cell count and neutrophils have improved which is a huge relief. I still have to be careful with visitors and avoiding illness. My mouth sores are better too- again another huge relief and praise. I underwent surgery yesterday for GTube placement so have been recovering from that. They started feedings today and they are going well so far. I will be learning a lot tomorrow about how to administer the feeds and medicines and am so grateful to have this tube now. I did develop mild pulmonary edema last night which they think may have been related to surgery and received some Lasix to take the fluid off and I am almost weaned off oxygen. The only pain I have had today hasΒ been from the surgical site and it is getting better. If everything continues to improve I hopefully will go home tomorrow! Will restart radiation treatment Monday.
I thank you all again for your love and concern and for lifting us up during a difficult time. I will keep you posted if I am officially set free tomorrow- I cannot wait to see our boys :-)
