I am thrilled to report I was discharged home yesterday! It felt so good to be home and especially to see our boys! I missed them so much. I am feeling better each  day. Main symptom is fatigue- it is so hard to get rest in the hospital! Grateful to now sleep in my own bed! I had radiation treatment again today. Only 12 more to go- I feel like I can see the finish line now. Last treatment is 3/26 and I will be ringing that bell so loudly that day! I also saw my oncologist. We are going to hold the last chemo cycle so I can happily say I am finished with chemotherapy officially (had 15 treatments total). The risks of any more chemo outweigh any benefit at this point so I feel good about the decision. If the tumor responded to the chemo it will have by this point and radiation is most important going forward. Plan is still the same for repeat imaging 3 months after last radiation treatment. I will see my oncolgist again in 6 weeks which feels surreal to stretch the visits out. Surreal but great as it means I am nearing the end of treatment!
I am very grateful to have my feeding/ GTube. My appetite is not great and taste is really off so it is a comfort to be able to get good nutrition regardless as that is so important with healing. Other than radiation I will be resting and recuperating this week.
Thank you all for the encouraging comments and always the prayers. God is so good and has answered our prayers. I ask him for strength each day and he has delivered and carried me through it all. Praises! Sending love to you all.
