Zeke's Journey
Whew! It’s been a whirlwind these past two days at Ability. All good things though.
Dr. A came yesterday and gave some great reports. He helped us determine that what we thought was ONE reflex (ATNR) is actually a DIFFERENT reflex (MORO). We have been able to implement some neuro exercises for this and are starting to see some really positive improvement.
(1) His legs are lengthening and hamstrings are releasing.
(2) His startle is decreasing a bit.
(3) Anxiety is decreasing when he goes backwards.
Tally enjoyed the visit with Dr. A and quickly and easily implemented these exercises into his treatment.
Tally and Zeke continue to work on his sitting, his “beach” pose and finding midline with his body. They are also working diligently on his pushing from his legs to increase flexibility and strength.
Zeke has a new friend at Ability. Let’s call him “Suds.” Suds is so sweet and loves playing with Zeke. They both work on their own therapies together by playing games (fine motor) and throwing the ball to each other (core and gross motor). They have played together several days in a row and both are asking to do so. I also discovered that his mom is also a follower of Jesus. It’s been so encouraging to speak to her. Suds is about 10 years older than Zeke so I’ve been able to really glean some helpful counsel. Will you pray for this sweet family as well - they are struggling with Medicaid and the whole system as well. So when you pray for us as we are waiting for this, will you pray for Suds and his family?
Will you also pray for Tally? That she will just experience the Lords blessing and kindness in a very unique and personal way?
