What’s up in Weston’s world lately? 💙

Weston has been fighting some congestion and allergies lately, but thanks to his pulmonologist, we have several machines and tools at home to help him clear congestion, breathe easier, and fight through illnesses. We are SO thankful his immune system is stronger than it used to be and that we have the resources to help him right here at HOME!!

Weston absolutely LOVES music. I really think it does something special in his brain. I imagine a little switch being flipped on, and suddenly he is completely mesmerized. Any music will do, but he especially loves sitting by the piano and listening to someone play. 🎹

We have several appointments this week and next for evaluations and testing, all in hopes of putting a few more pieces of Weston’s puzzle together. In some ways, it feels like ripping off a Band-Aid. We don’t necessarily want to, but we know we need to, and we’ll be glad we did.

We’re also heading to Vanderbilt this week to meet with a pediatric neurologist who specializes in seizures- an Epileptologist. Weston has experienced seizures off and on since day one, but the world of epilepsy is so vast and complex that we are still learning and educating ourselves as we go. It’s a world I never imagined I’d become so familiar with!

And somewhere in the middle of all of this, we’re busy prepping for our big Halloween race and fall festival! 🎃 Lots of behind-the-scenes planning, ordering, organizing, and finalizing all the little details. We are so excited for this event and can’t wait to see it all come together!

Life lately is a little bit of everything—appointments, therapies, planning, learning, and finding joy in the everyday. Thankful for the Lord’s faithfulness through it all. 💙
