Camila’s colonoscopy showed active inflammation in parts of her colon. Based on these findings, her GI team believes this is significantly contributing to the symptoms she’s been struggling with, including pain, abdominal distention, and difficulty tolerating nutrition. 

The plan moving forward is to start treatment aimed at calming the inflammation, with the goal of giving Camila symptom relief and helping her tolerate feeds again so she can begin to regain strength. While there is still a road ahead, we are hopeful this is the forward step she needs while inpatient.
