Ring that bell...

The other day, out of nowhere, Louis (5yo) asked me/Lacey, "Momma, which hand does Jesus hold onto me with?"  Without thinking, I replied that he holds onto us with both hands.  To which, Louis very sternly answered, "No, Mom.  The Bible says the right hand or the left hand, but I just can't remember which one."  So, we looked it up...

Isaiah 41:10 Do not fear, for I am with you; do not be afraid, for I am your God. I will strengthen you; I will help you; I will hold on to you with My righteous right hand.

And hold on He does...all the way to ringing the bell upon the completion of radiation treatment for brain cancer!!  Yesterday, mom/Kelsey completed radiation and got to ring the bell.  She also completed the first phase of her chemo treatment!!  Ellie and her kiddos were able to join in celebrating this amazing milestone.

Mom/Kelsey is eager to hopefully not feel so nauseous and tired in the coming weeks.  I think mom/Kelsey and dad/Wayne are also looking forward to not driving to Iowa City every day.  And, hopefully, they will be able to squeeze in some fun activities before the next round of chemo starts in early August.

The journey has not been without fear, anger, frustration, denial, etc., but in this moment we are joyful.  We continue to feel hope in the strength provided by Jesus' RIGHT ;) hand and by the love and support offered by each and every one of you.  THANK YOU!!
