Had 3 different people ultrasound us today, to make sure we were getting all possible information from multiple different perspectives. Smaller baby still had a mix of absent flow and forward flow. They didn't check their growth because it's too soon from the last growth scan to see whether there was improvement or not. Brain and stomach arteries/veins still look good and showed nothing concerning.
We talked about the Cord Occlusion procedure with the doctor. Ultimately, it's our choice, but she believes with intense monitoring we could get ahead of illness or demise of babies. By intense monitoring, we are looking at twice weekly scans for now, and will reassess in a week. She did tell us to be prepared for monitoring 3 times each week, as well as being admitted to the hospital for monitoring until babies come. If that happens, I won't be home with my other kids who still need me and I won't be working. Pray we can stay out of the hospital for as long as possible.
We are looking at an intense and unpredictable 9 weeks. We HAVE to make it 9 weeks for the best outcome for both babies. Pray in that time that babies keep growing, and they aren't taken from us. And that we can continue to be there for our other babes who still need us.
Danville next Tuesday and CHOP again next Friday 🙏
