Finally had 3 seconds to sit and post an update. Yesterday was a long day with a trip to and from Philadelphia, and with the two younger kids in tow. To say I was uncomfortable and swollen by the time we got home is an understatement. It was horrible.
Babies seemed extra cooperative with the ultrasound tech and she was able to zip right through all the measuring and dopplers she needed. She said they were "besties" 😂
Still a mix of forward and absent flow for smaller baby. Which we know is something to expect, no reverse flow yet which is what we are monitoring so closely for. So thankful for that.
They did a growth scan to see where we were. Chop does one every 2 weeks. So two weeks ago, smaller baby weighed 11 oz and bigger baby weighed 1 lb 1 oz. That was a growth discordance of roughly 37%. Yesterday, smaller baby weighed 1 lb and bigger baby weighed 1 lb 5 oz. That's a growth discordance of 24%!! That is huge! Smaller baby actually gained an oz more than bigger baby! Praise God! 🙌🙌
The doctor came in and was so happy with what they had found. We still have to be prepared to deliver at any moment if flow changes, but the gain is essential to them surviving an early delivery. The doctor's words were "We are breaking up" 😅 We are officially discharged from care in Philadelphia and will continue doing Tuesday and Friday visits at Geisinger, and growth scans every 2 weeks.
We don't want these girls coming any earlier than they have to, but thats a truth we have to keep in mind. We will continue to pray for 10 more weeks 🙏
