Tim Cantey
Tim and I were out of town for a (beach) work conference so there's actually a lot to get caught up on.
Tim finished the first "5" days of his 5/23 on June 8. Reminding that this is double the dose of oral chemo than previous treatments, days 4 and 5 Tim was fatigued and didn't feel very good. The next few days he experienced the same as the chemo was working its way out of his system. Thankfully his energy level was back to normal while working a conference in Orange Beach.
If all his bloodwork is normal then he will begin round two of 5/23 on July 2. This dosage of oral chemo is slightly higher than the previous. The level will not continue to increase, but will remain the same for rounds two through six. On Monday Tim will have his bloodwork and then we will meet the new medical oncologist (our last one moved), Dr Reardon.
On Thursday, June 12 Nettie came home from serving on summer staff at Carolina Point, a Young Life camp. She had an exhausting and wonderful experience and hopes to find time to become a YL leader in Mobile this fall.
The next day Sam made the brave and wise decision to go to Fishers Farm, a residential discipleship home that serves men who are struggling with various addictions. We are elated and so proud of him. If you'd like to learn more about Fishers Farm go to fishersfarm.org.
About the same time Tim's mother's home of roughly 55 years hit the market and has an accepted offer.
Whew!
I've probably left a few things out but those are the highlights. We continue to be thankful for all the sweet calls, texts, prayers, etc. Please keep them coming.
And please pray for: continued healing of Tim's brain from surgery, radiation and chemo, no side effects from the next 5/23, death to all cancer cells, the quick sell of Mimi's house and her move, and for encouragement, growth in his relationship with Christ, and healing for our Sam.
