Hi all, 

The last week has been an eventful one for our girl. Tiffany began losing her hair early last week, so—true to form—she took the bull by the horns and called in her combat crew to take care of business on her terms. Carrie and Teresa headed down to Mayo on Tuesday evening, and together they took a little stroll down memory lane. 

Tiff cut the first chunk of hair herself, “Sixteen Candles” style. Then Teresa gave her a nostalgic 8th-grade throwback: half shaved, half bob. Carrie finished the job with a full shave—channeling Demi Moore in G.I. Jane. And oh my goodness, does Tiff look cute and fierce all at once! 

Post-chemo, her blood counts are currently below normal, so she had a transfusion on Sunday. Next week brings more scans and meetings with doctors to determine the next steps in her treatment. Round two of chemo is scheduled to begin June 3rd and will look much like the first—seven days of a 24/7 IV chemo drip. Paula the Pouncer will be back on duty! 

Tiff is hopeful she’ll be able to get home for a little while before round two begins. As you can imagine, she’s going a little stir-crazy being cooped up at Mayo, but rest assured—she’s got every nurse on the floor fighting to care for her. She’s a riot, a trooper, and continues to take everything in stride with strength and humor. 

Tiffany remains deeply grateful for the outpouring of love—every meal, card, text, and message of support means the world to her and the girls. This past Saturday, our friend Judd rallied a group of Tiff’s high school guy friends to clean up her yard, mulch, and make her space beautiful. It was such a meaningful act of kindness.
