Johnny's Fifth Week

Five week update - Our little baby big boy is over a month old already!? 

Johnny is continuing to do great and make great progress. He is a little over 4 pounds now and on the lowest nasal cannula settings! We are hopeful that he will soon be ready to wean from his oxygen support to breathing room air. Since he’s on the lowest nasal cannula he has been able to start bottle and breast feeding. He’s able to eat a little from his bottle but is still gaining stamina to get through a full meal. 🍼 Speech therapy was so helpful this week teaching us his hunger cues and best ways to feed a preemie.

Johnny’s little personality has developed more over the past week. He makes the silliest expressions and raises his eyebrows at us. His little smirk makes us so happy to see. We can already tell he’s going to be one silly boy. 🤪 

Continued love and prayers for his healing and growing, to soon be able to come off the nasal cannula and ability to eat/drink a full bottle.
