What a week it’s been! I can’t believe last Sunday was the day we got the call 😭 this week has been full of soooo many blessings and answered prayers! Oakley is so so loved and the support has just meant the world to me 🥹 After 373 days she is finally free of her IV pole! Thank you God! The team has decided to keep her chest tubes in until hopefully tomorrow and she is still on 1L of oxygen. Her lungs took awhile to “wake up” and the chest x-ray taken today actually looks worse than yesterday 😔 please pray for her lungs to fully wake up and clear! It’s hard when she still has the chest tubes in because her breathing is guarded due to the pain and that also makes it hard to walk. Sweet girl she has done SO well and has just absolutely amazed me. She’s sooooo ready to be home. “Mom, I just want to go home”. Soon baby, so so soon 🥹🙏🏽 Please continue to pray for her recovery and for her new heart to be fully accepted so she can thrive and live a beautiful life! Again, your love support and prayers have given us so much strength 😭 I will never be able to fully thank you. I am forever grateful and constantly thinking of Oaks beautiful donor. Dear Lord, be with their family. I pray someday I get to express my gratitude to them although words will forever fall short 😭🙏🏽 They said yes to donation during their darkest days… they saved Oakleys life. How does one ever put that into words? 🥹
