"Uriel’s been home for almost two weeks now and the continuous outpouring of love and support still overwhelms us. We are so grateful! We are still adjusting as getting Uriel home was just one step in this process. We have filed a cancellation of deportation petition and an application for a workers permit follows. Uriel has a preliminary hearing on 6/3 for the cancellation. There is a lot of waiting involved. It was so uplifting after 3 long months of separation. As Rosa stated, we are waiting for a workers permit in order for Uriel to return to work. All he wants to do is support his family.
