The Velasco Family
It’s been a week since my husband was detained. The latest update came at 11:30 pm last night. He called me and told me they were moving him this morning to south Texas. His physical situation has not changed. He remains detained and his bond hearing is set for this Friday. Yet, what these circumstances have set in motion just grows. I’ve seen God move in ways neither I nor my husband would’ve imagined. To me, this has become more than just about legal status. It has brought people together that otherwise wouldn’t, reignited faith in those who had lost it, revealed how no matter the circumstance God is still God. I am not the same woman I was before last Tuesday and even the day after last Tuesday. I have cried and sat in the weight of all my emotions in His presence. This has ignited worship in me that flows from not just knowing God but SEEING God. I see him in the outpouring of provision, I see him in the messages of encouragement and love, I see Him in those who are tirelessly interceding for my husband and my family and I see Him in the peace of my children that despite their father being gone their hearts and minds are guarded. Thank you to everyone for everything. This will be a testimony.
We feel so blessed, we want to pass it forward. This family needs help as well. Please consider showing love and support to them with a donation or share. We don’t know them personally but we don’t need too to show Christs love. Here is the link: https://gofund.me/675ea87ff
