Today we had a lot of snuggles and a mostly low key day. Tomorrow is a big day! They will do an xray early in the morning to make sure that the pneumatosis in his bowels is completely gone. If it is they will start feeding small amounts at a time and slowly increase while monitoring for any symptoms. We are also trying a fully dairy free diet. They will switch the formula they supplement my breast milk with to nondairy and I will not be able to have any dairy at all. The only dairy I tolerate is Greek yogurt, so it won’t be too big of a change for me.
His breathing rate has been a little high off and on this morning so they will xray his whole chest and abdomen just to be sure there is nothing going on before we start feeding him again.
Please pray for a clear xray and for successful feeds tomorrow. Continued healing for Wilder and grace and patience for Jesse and I as we deal with any future bumps in the road.
