We are thankful for an uneventful week so far. Wilder has been doing well and there have been no big changes and that is okay. We are waiting out the 7 days of no feeds and he is tolerating it well. He has weaned off almost all of his sedatives and he is starting to become more awake for little moments and more opinionated. He definitely lets the nurses know when he does not appreciate them “bugging” him.
We are getting in lots of cuddles and OT and PT have visited. You can see in the picture that he is letting his OT know how he feels about therapy. He’s able to do tummy time now that a lot of his wires and tubes are gone. We started with a few minutes of tummy time on my chest today and he did well. We are continuously thankful for your prayers and support.
Prayer requests:
-For a continued “uneventful week”
-Healing in Wilder’s bowels so that we can move forward with feeding again.
-Wisdom for his care team as we start to make decisions with feeding and the rest of his care
-Continued strength for Jesse and I
