Unfortunately we will be at the hospital longer than we hoped. Before restarting feeds today the doctors ran labs and noticed something was off. They decided to do a repeat X-ray and found pneumatosis this time. They will treat it with antibiotics and 3 days of no feeds. If he is free of pneumatosis after 3 days then we can start working up to full feeds. Until then they will keep on an IV that is providing fluids and some nutrients to keep him comfy.
Please pray for healing for Wilder. He is not himself. At home he had started being awake for longer periods of time and interacting with us more. He has slept almost the whole day and when he has been awake he is not himself. Pray that he doesn’t develop any complications from this. Pray for strength for Jesse and I as this feels very weary after just 10 days at home.
