Today we thought it would be a “normal” and quick trip to the hospital for an eye dr. appointment then deep sedation for a lumbar puncture and bone marrow biopsy followed by chemo. However...

Asa was seen by the ophthalmologist this morning and she saw swelling on his optic nerves. She is concerned about the swelling because that could mean pressure on the brain. Our team of doctors has decided it will be best to admit Asa to the hospital to monitor him and get him an MRI as soon as possible. They said to expect to be here for a few days.

All of his treatment, lumbar puncture, and bone marrow biopsy are on hold for now until they figure out what is going on in his brain.

We are trusting in the Lord every minute for our sweet boy while pleading for God to guide the doctors/medical team. At the same time we pray in faith for healing and wholeness.

Prayer Requests:

Please pray that the MRI can be available quickly. The doctor is hoping for tomorrow morning but it depends on the radiology team/schedule.
Pray also that the MRI does not reveal a mass or blood clot.

Praying fervently - prayed all day yesterday after Deborah updated us- got to at least make prayer eye contact with Austin last night and watched Josie, Gideon and Roz play in the grass after choir- I love seeing your family surrounded by the family of God - praying for no mass or blood clot and complete healing for precious Asa!!
