At Asa's hospital visit this week, his platelets and hemoglobin were great (surprisingly!) but his white blood count was very low so he was unable to receive treatment. When they tested his antibodies it showed they were very low and we are grateful that he was able to receive a 2.5 hour antibody infusion that afternoon. On Wednesday, if his numbers are good enough, Asa will get a lumbar puncture with chemo infusion and start 2x daily chemo injections in his legs. There is a possibility his numbers will be too low again and that he would need a blood/platelet infusion.
Overall Asa has been feeling pretty well, all things considered. His energy level is low and he's been taking extra naps. His appetite has dropped some but he can always find room for pizza! Haha

Prayer Requests:
- Asa's numbers to be good enough for treatment to continue on Wednesday.
- For his at-home injections to go well and that God would give Asa courage to do this hard thing.
- Two families we know with kids battling cancer/illness: one just lost their only child to cancer; the other is facing an unknown diagnosis for their cancer survivor.
Praises:
- My parents were able to come for a visit this weekend!
- Asa is a pro at taking his meds!
- School is out and our family is home together for the summer!
