Asa's treatment has been delayed for 3 weeks now. His white blood count has been too low to continue chemo infusions. This past week the doctors took him off one of his at-home meds that can be a count suppressor, in hopes that by this Wednesday his counts will be high enough. The next appointment will consist of 1 hour of fluids, a 3-4 hour infusion, then 1 more hour of fluids to flush the chemo out. He will then have at-home injections that we will need to give him at the same time for 4 days.
Thank you for praying with us! In the waiting, we have been enjoying lots of summer family time and are grateful for the days that Asa can feel like a "normal" little boy.
Romans 12:2
"Do not be shaped by this world. Instead be changed within by a new way of thinking. Then you will be able to decide what God wants for you. And you will be able to know what is good and pleasing to God and what is perfect.
