Today is a big day, not just because it's Cerebral Palsy Awareness Day, but because Kat got her Cochlear implant!
Although we are nervous about how she will handle this new type of sound, we are also very excited for this new hearing journey for her. She will still have her hearing aid for her left ear which will connect to the implant in her right. Technology is so neat, nowadays.
She did amazing during surgery and even came back stylin' with a little bow on her head wrap. She is still recovering and sleeping hard (peep the little tongue blip).
Now the countdown is on until activation day where her audiologist will begin turning the device on and we will slowly increase the volume every few weeks.
For Cerebral Palsy Awareness Day, we wear green to support those with CP. CP is one of the most diagnosed motor disorders in the world. We hope you think of Kat anytime you wear green. 💚
