The Stallard Family
Abigail came down with a fever and just wasn’t herself, so today I took her to the doctor. After checking her over, they told us she has pneumonia. They started her on antibiotics right away, so we’re praying she starts to feel better soon.
She has an appointment at the University of Virginia on Monday with GI, and as long as she continues to improve, we’re planning to leave for Florida on Wednesday to visit my mom for a few days. I really think it’ll be good for all four of us to get away for a little while.
Somehow in the middle of all of this, time keeps moving. I can’t believe Gunnar turns five on Wednesday. Five! Where have the last five years gone? It feels like I blinked, and he went from a tiny baby to the sweetest big brother anyone could ask for.
And in the back of my mind, there’s the quiet countdown — Abigail’s surgery is just 19 weeks away. It will be here before I know it. Some days that reality feels heavy, and other days I’m grateful for every bit of time we have to prepare, pray, and breathe before we walk into that next chapter.
Thank you for continuing to pray for our family. We feel it more than you know.
