The Stallard Family
Last Wednesday, Gunnar had a dentist appointment that turned out to be quite long. He had a deep cleaning along with some imaging done. Because the visit ran late, I had to reschedule one of Abigail’s appointments that afternoon.
On Thursday, Abigail had a Valentine’s party at school. We’ve also decided to start gradually increasing the amount of time she stays at school. She seems to be adjusting really well, and many days she doesn’t even want to come home.
On Saturday, the four of us went out to dinner to celebrate Valentine’s Day together. Then yesterday, after church, two ladies from the Make-A-Wish Foundation came to our home so Abigail could choose her wish. Abigail chose a trip to Disney World for a week! We’re so excited and grateful, and we’re already looking forward to enjoying the parks together as a family.
Our Disney trip will happen sometime in the next couple of months. For now, we need to see how Abigail does with her recovery from her upcoming airway reconstruction surgery.
It’s hard to believe that in just two weeks, Abigail and I will be heading to Boston for her pre-op appointments and procedures. Time is truly flying — it feels like we were just celebrating Thanksgiving.
We still have about $5,000 left to raise before we leave for Boston in April. Thank you all so much for your continued prayers and support.
