It was a busy week for us. Abigail started staying at school for two hours instead of 1.5 hours, which is a big step. She now gets to enjoy snack time and dance time with her classmates before leaving for the day. She absolutely loves dance time, she just likes to shake it and move.
This past Tuesday, I began one-on-one personal training with a CrossFit coach and also joined a group CrossFit class. I’ve spent a lot of time at the gym this week, and it has truly been good for me. The gym has become an outlet where I can focus, breathe, and simply pour myself into the workout. The coach I’ve been working with has been wonderful — the perfect mix of encouragement and pushing me when she knows I have more to give.
Earlier this evening, I received a call from the anesthesiologist at Boston Children’s to review Abigail’s medical history and to walk me through things from an anesthesia perspective. It made everything feel very real, especially knowing we are only nine days away from heading to Boston. Abigail will be receiving Botox injections, having her airway evaluated by the ENT surgeon, and attending several outpatient appointments.
We still have $4,923 left to raise before our Boston trip in April. We would appreciate your continued prayers, especially that Devin’s FMLA gets approved — we expect to hear something this upcoming week.
Abigail also has an appointment at the University of Virginia on Monday. Please pray that it goes smoothly and, hopefully, is a short one.
Thank you all for your continued prayers, and support. We are so grateful.
