Closing delayed again. We can't move before school starts.

This summer has been really tough for us. I'm a teacher, and during summer, I don't get my regular paychecks. We usually save enough money to get by during these months. But this year, things took an unexpected turn.

First, our landlord increased our rent by $400 a month with just 30 days' notice! This was too much for our planned budget. We have always paid on time, but the rent kept getting higher, and now it's doubled since we started living here. It’s an old house, and we took care of it like our own.

Then, another surprise hit us. After six years of living here, we were given a sudden notice to move out. Our landlord saw a Facebook post my wife made asking for advice on dealing with landlords. She thought it was about her and decided to end our lease.

We had to find a new place fast, and moving during the summer without my regular paycheck is super hard. We did find a new home and are under contract, but the closing date keeps being pushed back. Now, it's set for August 31, which means we can't move before school starts. Our lease here ended on July 31, and it's hard to figure out where we will stay until we can finally move.

We are kind of stuck right now. We need help covering moving costs and to get through the rest of summer until I start getting paychecks again.
