Day 10 update: Gilbert is still sleeping. But there’s some better news today. His most recent CT scan is showing some reducing in the swelling and showing that the abscess is getting smaller, which means the antibiotics are working! He’s still got a ways to go, however progress is progress!!! 

They’re still getting secretions out of his lungs to help with his pneumonia, but that is looking better as well. 

They are closely monitoring him for blood clots and have him on a thinner to make sure this doesn’t become an issue. 

He is grimacing and grunting when they move him, so that is also really good!!! 🙌🏼

I also really want to thank everyone for constantly checking on me and the kids as well. This has been so hard on us all but I’m grateful for the support we have.
